2026 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Graduate Degrees

Please find enclosed information on 2026 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Graduates, which is the scholarship program from the Korean National Institute for International Education (NIIED) under Korean Ministry of Education.

Anyone who wishes to apply for these programs is advised to read carefully the attached application guidelines, including required documents.

1. Number of Quota for the Program: Five (5)

2. Schedule of Application and Selection Process  : 

●Application Period: February 12 (Thur) at 11:00 KST to February 25 (Wed) at 18:00 KST(Korean Standard Time)

●Deadline of Online Submission: February 25 (Wed) until 18:00 KST(Korean Standard Time)

●Announcement of the Results of Document Screening and Shortlisted Interview Candidates: March 6 (Friday)

            *Only shortlisted applicants will be notified of the interview details

●Interview: Date and time tba  (Interviews will be held at the Embassy in due course with a limited number of applicants.)

●Announcement of Successful Candidates: March 16 (Mon)

●Deadline of Physical Submission for Selected Candidates: March 23, 13:00(local time)

→︎ Beginning this year, the application method will be done DIGITALLY.

All documents including the application form should be submitted online through the Study in Korea website(www.studyinkorea.go.kr) no later than 18:00 (KST), Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

 All Embassy Track applicants are required to create a membership account on the website of Study in Korea (www.studyinkorea.go.kr) and submit their applications to the system within the above-mentioned timeline.

After registering membership on the website, proceed with the application process by filling out the required sections and uploading the necessary documents. (Please note that applications can only be submitted online.)

Physical submission is required for SELECTED applicants only. These candidates must provide TWO (2) complete application sets - ONE (1) original and ONE (1) photocopy.
